Help send books to the troops overseas!
We're supporting our troops by sending them a unique, and very cool pin-up book called, "For The Boys: Pin-ups for the Troops",
and this Burlesque Festival is designed to raise funds to send books to
the troops. Over 3,000 books have already been sent, but the demand for
this unique and entertaining book is high and we need to send more!
This book, and its companion, For the Girls which features male pin-ups, are sent to members of the armed forces overseas free of charge. The printing, shipping, and distribution of this effort is supported entirely by sales of the book and by public donations.
The following performers are donating their performances to this event:
- Members of The Boston Babydolls — New England's Premiere Burlesque Performers
- Members of Babes in Boinkland – This ain't your father's burlesque
- Ivy Bowers – star of The Blue Angel Cabaret and Albany's Bing Bamboo Room
- The Lovely Machete — Boston's Queen of Screams
- Zehara Necash — Middle Eastern dancer extraordinaire!
- ...and more!
Advance tickets are being sold on a "Pay What you will" basis with a minimum of $5. The minimum donation at the door is $10.
All tickets, regardless of price are general admission, so get there early for the best seats!

The Boston Babydolls |
|
The Boston Babydolls are New England's leading burlesque troupe. In keeping with their mission of "re-creating a Golden Age of Burlesque that never really existed" The Boston Babydolls perform shows inspired by the great burlesque performers and producers of the past. They also instruct in the burlesque arts through their educational arm, The Boston Academy of Burlesque Education (B.A.B.E.).
ROCKET SCIENCE PRODUCTIONS, L.L.C. is the Virginia-based publisher that instituted this non-profit project to distribute books to soldiers overseas.
Space for the performance is generously donated by The Cambridge YMCA
